How to Change a Shower Head?

Changing a new shower head will reduce the amount of water you use every day. This guide will help you learn how to change a simple shower head in less then 30 minut. We are going to learn here changeing and installing few shower heads like dual shower head, hand-held shower head, single shower head and combo shower head.

Pipe Putty and sealants
Thread Seal Tape

How to install a shower system?

Hand-held Shower

Before start you need to do these steps:

Unscrew the old shower head.
It is very simple to unscrew the old shower head by your hands only.
If it is not unscrewing by hand then use the slip-joint pliers and adjustable wrench in both side on shower arm and shower head but becore using slip-joint pliers take plain cloth and wrap on bith side on shower head and shower arm.
Once you unscrew the shower head make sure to clean shower arm very well so that all the rusts and hardwater minerals should be removed.
Wrap the thread sealing tape on shower arm threads.
Now screw the shower head in shower arm till it get well tight on shower arm.

How To Install a Fixed Wall Mounted Shower Head?

As we discuss above to install shower head, you can repeat the same instructions for this shower head.
if there is any water leakage, do wrap the thread sealing tap 2-3 times on shower arm.
Tighten the shower head with asjustable wrench and slip-joint pliers.

How To Install a Hand-Held Shower Head?

To install this type of hand held shower head you need to have hot and cold water supply in place.

Then mach all the parts of the shower mixer and hand shower holder
Then first warp 2-3 times thread sealing tap on both water outlet pipe.
Now first place both fitting cover plate and the screw to the hot and cold shower mixer.
When the shower mixer tighten wel then fix the hand shower holder on wall with screw-driver.
Now on shower mixer bottom and on hand shwoer thread wrap 2-3 times thread sealing tap in order to protect for any water leakage.
Then screw the shower hose in shower mixer and hand shower and place the hand shower in hand shower holder.

How To Install a Combo Fixed-Mount and Hand-Held Shower Head?

In order to install combo dual shower head, we will do this below.

First of all we will match all the part according to installation guide.
We assume that shower arm is already instalalted and ready to use.
Wrap the thread sealing tape on shower arm.
Now attache the diverter to the shower arm and tighten with hands which will route the water in two different water outlets.
Once the diverter attached, screw the main shower head to the diverter.
Then attache the hose to second water outlet and fix hand shower to the hose.
When all done, turn the water to the diverter and see if both shower head and hand showe working correctly and there is no leakage.
If there is any leakage, then use the thread tape on leakage area two three times and tighten it again.

How to install wall mount dual shower head?

Installing wall mount dual shower head:

First apply the thread tape on shower arm 2-3 times.
Then screw shower diverter to the shower arm.
Once the shower diverter is attached then attache both flexible shower head to the diverter.
Use anti-slip plier to tighten showerhead with support of towel or cotton cloth in order to protect from any scratch on shower head or diverter.
