As we all know, showerheads are an indispensable part of the bathroom. It not only adds to the functionality of the bathroom but also enhances the visual appeal. The main advantage of having a wall mounted showerhead is that you can adjust the height of the showerhead to fit your requirements.

Do you know that wall-mounted showerheads are very easy to install? Yes, it is. This is one of the reasons why the majority of people opt for the wall-mounted shower head. You need not seek professional help to get the showerhead installed on the wall. With the right tools and accessories, you can install a wall-mounted showerhead in no time.

What are the steps to follow to install a wall-mounted showerhead?

  • Get the right tools and materials.

You do not want to start installing the showerhead and later realise that you have missed out on some important tool! It is thus very important to gather all the tools before installing the shower head.

Apart from the shower arm and showerhead, you need a wrench, plumber’s tape, a clean cloth and a bucket to catch the spilling water.

  • Turn the water supply off.

Before you start any work, whether it is electrical or plumbing work, it is best to switch off the mains to avoid accidents. You should thus turn off the main water supply to your home before you start installing the showerhead.

It is best to close the drain with some old cloth so that small components do not go down the drain accidentally.

  • Remove the shower arm

Showerheads normally come with a shower arm that matches in finish. If you have already installed a shower, carefully remove the shower arm using your hand. In case the shower arm is rusted or tight, you can use a wrench to carefully remove it.

It is best to place a bucket below to catch any dripping water.

Once the showerarm is removed, you should clean the threads that come out of the water supply pipe from the wall. Wipe it dry and wrap it up with a teflon tape.

  • Install the new shower arm.

Once you have cleaned the thread, you can proceed to install the new shower arm. Carefully screw it in with your hand. Once the aligment is correctly fitted, you can use a wrench to tighten the shower arm.

We would recommend using a cloth around the shower arm while tightening to prevent any scratches on the surface of the shower arm.

  • Install the shower head

Once the shower arm is in place, you can proceed to install the shower head. It is best to install the shower head using your hand to prevent any scartches on its surface.

  • Do the final test

Once the shower arm and showerhead are in place, you can turn on the water to test for any leak. Make sure that the water flows directly without any leaks through the side.

For best result, you should always follow the installation guideline that come along with the product.
